Only the intervention of dozens of Bantam, Alpha, and Beta level Quasar heroes worked with security staff to open a pathway through the intervening Gothmog elementals and Copilot terrorists which allowed a majority of innocents to escape death or injury.

AEGIS has taken the other members of the Jigu into custody in regard to their revocation of Article 17 status and in connection with multiple deaths in previous environmentally-related incidents. Vulcanologist Dr. Ambrosia Marsh-Smith has led a team to perform initial evaluation of the local seismic anomaly and issued a report stating that while the volcano was active, it has immediately reverted into an inactive status and is likely to become dormant in a matter of weeks.

One reason, according to former Q-Games reporter, is that Agent Exemplar and Shimmer are handling top secret mission deployments for Team ASTRA. While UNCOS has issued no general statement on Team ASTRA's deployment, a break from their previous policies, sources from UNCOS have indicated that there has been an ongoing increase in activity related to higher-level Quasar world-wide Quasar threats.

While Quasars occasionally have to cancel their appearances at these and other public events, there’s been an influx of changes to the 2022 Q-Games over the past week. General Mills and PepsiCo, two major sponsors of the Q-Games, issued statements that they are expecting the newly created Team Daedalus to appear at the Q-Games. In response, there has been a great deal of chatter regarding rumors about Team Daedalus, especially considering their recent activities related the appearance of a volcano in Kansas and their rescue of victims from Alvera Laboratories after the Violet Plague attack. Since their appearance defeating the three-pronged threat of Blood Mantis, Black Panther, and the Brutalizer, they have been red-hot in the news, living up Dr. Anson's promise of a "new generation of hero".

Mind Melter, once a proposed member of the currently forming Quasar Team Orlando has been recovered from a harrowing ordeal. Mind Melter had been lauded for her rare psychic abilities, which include telepathy, mind control, precognition, and limited telekinesis. Mind Melter had expressed doubts about joining Team Orlando, specifying personal reasons, and had returned to her home in Milwaukee. Experts believe that her unique skills made her a target for criminals seeking to exploit her powers for their illicit activities. This was an unsual twist considering that she is a Suit, whose powers are not active unless she is in proximity of her attuned team. In spite of this, authorities reported that Mind Melter was abducted a week ago from her residence. No demands or random were left at the scene and nobody was contacted about her abduction.

However, as days went by, the police began to notice a pattern. A series of crimes, including bank robberies and strangely motivated blackmail and coercion schemes, were perpetrated with uncanny precision, leading them to believe that Mind Melter's abilities were being exploited under duress. Acting on an anonymous tip, Team Daedalus stormed an undisclosed facility in the city's western district. Inside, they found Mind Melter bound but alive. An encounter with organized criminal elements was short-lived after Team Daedalus recovered Mind Melter and an unnamed physician who was being coerced to subject her to unusual medical treatments.

"It's a relief to have her back safely," said Captain Martinez of the CPD. "It's terrifying to think of the potential harm that could come from someone with her abilities being forced to work against her will." Mind Melter is currently under protective custody and undergoing a medical examination. Team Daedalus Repels the Shen, Captures Jackrabbit

In a battle taken straight out of the pages of a possible fantasy Q-Game match-up, the plucky heroes of Team Daedalus took on The Shen, who were given license to engage in a Sanction of Jackrabbit, and known Omega-level threat known to have engagements on every populated continent. The team was fortunate enough to catch the Shen in the middle of a attempt to capture Jackrabbit Prime. Jackrabbit, unique in his powers of duplication who was originally created as part of the Beastmen, a team created by Aden Research on commission by a South African political consortium. Jackrabbit was part of a criminal testing and empowerment program and fled the Beastmen rather than join in their operations. Jackrabbit has been an outstanding threat as defined by AEGIS, primarily based on his ability to duplicate in response to threats and additionally, with the increase in aggressiveness based on the number of duplicates in a locale.

Jackrabbit Prime was cornered in nearby downtown Joliet, with the Shen in hot pursuit. Team Daedalus entered the scene in limited force, with only four of their members. Blue Shift, Mindario, Angel of Reckoning, and Simian ordered them to stand down. According to witnesses, there were diplomatic pauses at the start of the battle and neither side was attempting to use deadly force to begin with, by the time things escalatated, the battle was in full force. The battle ended with two of the Shen down, the death bringer Yan Weng and the mighty Shennong, and only Kahmae'el standing for Team Deadalus. Despite being outmatched and outnumbered, Team Daedalus created enough of a distraction that the Daedalus Foundation security forces were able to aid in Jackrabbit's getaway.

The Shen departed the scene, but not before declaring the four members of Team Daedalus criminals in China for disrupting sanctioned Chinese operations. While Team Daedalus did not suffer serious wounds and recovered at the scene, the whereabouts of Jackrabbit was left uncertain. Dr. Stephen Anson, leader of the Daedalus Foundation, declared that the Jackrabbit had been remanded to a safe, responsible party, sources within AEGIS indicate that Jackrabbit was not remanded to AEGIS custody or US custody. According to local news, this is yet another case of Team Daedalus standing up for the oppressed, no matter who or what they may be.

Title 17: The Supersized Corporate Loophole

In a world where Quasars were once promised to be symbols of justice, integrity, and the fight against evil, the landscape has dramatically shifted with the passage of Title 17. This controversial legislation has opened the floodgates for corporations to hire quasars, and critics argue that it has fundamentally altered the Quasar dynamic, tarnishing their iconic status and integrity.

Title 17, officially known as the "Quasar Deployment Initiative", was passed amidst heated debates by UNCOS Security members over three years ago. Proponents argued that it would provide much-needed oversight and regulation in the use of quasars deployed for emergencies, while opponents warned it would have unintended consequences. Fast forward to today, and it appears those concerns were justified.

While the original intent is for the governmental or corporate entity to place an escrow value in hold with UNCOS in offset control and recovery costs from their efforts, the structure was intended that UNCOS would have more direct control of their use. However, legal challenges by US, Russian, and Egyptian have mired the controls UNCOS can exhibit over the Title 17 sponsoring actions. In essence, it does not work the way it was intended or promised. Some of the more naive believe this is a mishap and oversight, the more cynical will say that this was the endgame and that it was designed to work this way. The argument is not a moot point, as Title 17 is here and it's been utilized too often to put it back in the bottle. The use of Title 17 in emergencies and during natural disasters has proven invaluble to Third World nations, but simultaneously, the escalation of corporate and smaller nation militation operations to include Quasars has also become a nasty by-product.

The most glaring issue is the commodification of quasars. Traditionally, Quasars acted by direction of their sponsors by UNCOS to specific corporate and governmental bodies that showed the ability and need, often stated openly as "necessary for the greater social good". Now, they can be hired by corporations with the political and monetary capital to buy UNCOS approval, shifting them from superweapons only available to favored nations to little more than mercenaries in capes. This shift has raised questions about their motivations and allegiances.

Critics also worry that Title 17 has resulted in an uneven distribution of Quasar resources. Mega-corporations with deep pockets can afford to hire multiple quasars, giving them an unfair advantage over smaller competitors. This concentration of power threatens to stifle competition and innovation in all industries, especially among multinational ones, and ultimately harming citizens and society as a whole. Furthermore, the new corporate-sponsored quasars are subject to the whims of their employers. They may be forced to take actions that align with their corporate benefactors' interests, even if it goes against more restrictive AEGIS and UNCOS guidelines. This compromise of responsibility undermines the mitigating controls of Quasars.

The accountability and oversight measures promised by Title 17 have also fallen short. Many critics argue that the regulatory bodies responsible for monitoring Quasar activities are too lenient and often influenced by the corporations that employ these heroes. This lack of transparency and impartiality erodes public trust in both quasars and the government. Moreover, Title 17 has triggered a wave of Nequal unification efforts. Quasars can now turn their backs on sponsoring agencies and instead hire themselves out as Quasar mercenaries. While this does bode as a favorable step for Quasars, the very few that benefit is at the cost of millions of Nequals. The use of Title 17 has only worked to further confuse an already convoluted restrictions controlled Quasar behavior and responsibilities.

In essence, Title 17 has blurred the line between quasars and corporate entities, diminishing the specific govenrnmental and social contracts to which they had been previously held. It has turned what could have been stabilizing forces of unique power and beneficience into commodities and puppets of powerful corporations. The UNCOS Committee's lofty goals of regulation and oversight have fallen short, leaving a complex web of problems in its wake.

As the debate over the merits of Title 17 rages on, one thing is clear: the Quasar world will never be the same. Whether it can return to its eventual goals of altruism and heroism or remain mired in corporate interests remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the Quasar community and the world at large deserve a more thoughtful and balanced approach to addressing the challenges facing Quasars and the societies in which they operate.

Task Force Discord Botches Intervention in Armenian Conflict

Yerevan, Armenia - In a surprising turn of events today, the enigmatic Quasar team known as the 'Beastmen' intervened in a long-standing conflict between Armenian government forces and a faction of rebels, resulting in a rapid de-escalation of violence. The Beastmen, a team of Delta-level Quasars, each possessing unique animalistic abilities, made a concerted appearance with the U.S. Marines Force Recon units in the contested region early this morning.

The Armenian government hailed the aid in fighting off the Haravarevmtyan Brigade, a military force of dissidents that have grown in support and organization and have proven a dangerous threat to enact a coup with the reigning government. Condor - Capable of flight, sharp talons, and an almost supernatural keen sight.
Bullrush - With the raw power and charge of a bull.
Clavata - With the strength and burrowing capability of an human-sized ant.
Chameleon - The subtle infiltrator and master of stealth and camouflage.

Reports indicate that the Beastmen swiftly engaged the rebel Armenian forces, disabling weapons and infrastructure with minimal bloodshed. Lionheart, in a roar that resonated across the region, called for an immediate ceasefire. Condor and Chameleon focused on intelligence gathering, quickly identifying rebel leaders and government officials to broker an emergency peace talk. Meanwhile, Serpentine neutralized strategic points with her venomous strikes, rendering them harmless, while Bullrush effectively barricaded contested zones, separating them from suppoort and reinforcement. Amid the sudden intervention, the Armenian dissident forces appeared stunned but quickly recovered into defensive positions following their bewilderment.

Later in the day, representatives from both sides, under the watchful eyes of the Beastmen, agreed to a temporary truce and began preliminary talks to address the core issues fueling the conflict. Late that night, however, fighting renewed as the Marines issued s statement that the Beastmen had gone AWOL and were acting without orders. Local Armenian reported over forty deaths following the unauthorized attack by the Beastmen, with the victims being primarily dissident leadership forces. The reports of the attack indicated that the use of force was both "unrestrained and horrifying".

The international community reacted with immediate criticism. United Nations Secretary-General Ana Mendez commented, "We are monitoring the situation closely. The Beastmen's actions are unprecedented, and while we appreciate stability, a long-term solution must be rooted in dialogue and understanding."

As the day closed, the U.S. Marines had recovered the Beastmen and issued a statement that the Beastmen and Task Force Discord would be evaluated and revisited, but called it a "cautious victory".

The United States Department of Defense (DoD) would like to officially address the recent reports and rumors regarding the potential use of Quasars in our Marine Task Force operations. As illustrated in the recent Beriget Incident, the desire to include Quasars in nequalized military operations is a strategic miscue and a tactical liability.

The DoD unequivocally denounces and at this time, prohibits the use of any experimental technologies, including but not limited to quasars, for military purposes. Eight Injured in Red Glacier Attack in Chicago

The Red Glacier, known anti-Q threat and powerhouse, ran afoul of Team Daedalus at the WDRV (97.1 the Drive) remote radio show. Team Daedalus struck quickly as Red Glacier attempted to take the remote event hostage, with the apparent attempt, according to AEGIS sources, to capture Dr. Stephen Anson and create a hostage standoff. His attempts to bring forth attention to the abuses of Quasars, while malformed and misguided, were recognized by members of NERQ (Nequals for the Exaction of Revenge on Quasars) as positive steps intended to scale back the incidence of violence by Quasars.

Team Daedalus acted quickly, drawing the attacks of the deadly Red Glacier to themselves while cornering him in the Magnus Hops microbrewery, where they captured him through a concerted effort. Other heroes, such as Blue Shift and Shadowstrike moved quickly to neutralize armed accomplices and move innocent bystanders out of harm's way. According to AEGIS sources, the possibilities of severe injuries and fatalities were a "very real possibility" and it was only through the actions of Team Daedalus was the attack de-escalated. Chicago has heroes dedicated to its safety and protection, and those heroes are Team Daedalus.

EECTF Makes First Arrests

Sources at the National Crime Public Information office has indicated that the FBI has been engaged in a long-term investigation into several Eastern European crime syndicates that includes a number of crime-fighting organizations working under the administrative umbrella of the EECTF (Eastern European Criminal Task Force). An investigation that has spanned months has borne its first fruits in the arrests of the Sanjas and Devanskyy criminal families in Memphis and Milwaukee, as well as the arrest of a number of highly-placed members of the Devahkny brahtva in Indianapolis.

According to a press release by the USAG Tressa McKintery's office, "charges will be filed with both federal and appropriate state courts to ensure that the proper prosecution of these long-acting threats will be carried to a final and successful conclusion."

Defense attorney for Russian ex-patriate Sambros Sanjas has stated that his client "is the subject of an long-standing xenophobic persecution by jingoist US criminals and the politicians they own. My client will see his day in court and at that time, the truth about a great many actions by a fervent and intolerent United States government will come to light." Team Daedalus Thwarts Attack at Laboratory

Team Daedalus has once again shown that they are power brokers in the field of rescue and recovery. After the infiltration of Alvera Laboratories in the nearby industrialized Scovington suburban districts by the ruthless and dangerous Violet Plague and his Scourge minions, Team Daedalus broke in and rescued all of the employees held as hostages and saved the building from a major demolition.

According to hostages, Violet Plague had taken up residence in the facility on the morning of August 18, catching a handful of security staff and weekend workers in the building. He and his minions then closed the building off and sequestered the hostages in a back room, taking them individually on occasion to force them to calibrate instruments or meet food delivery staff. Violet Plague had indicated that he was going to destroy the building and them with it, but not after first infecting them with a variety of virulent plagues such as mumps, smallpox, and bubonic plague.

According to Tyler Halfner, a manager at the laboratory, Team Daedalus seemed all but done for when she saw the monitored footage of them being cast off the roof after Violet Plague detonaged charges on the roof. However, in short order, they burst into the upper floor of the laboratory. Shadow Strike struck from out of nowhere, stopping two infected victims who were attempting to attack the others who had holed up into back conference room.

Kah Mae'el, the Reckoning Angel, and the mighty Simian were seen rescuing victims strapped to explosive vests, flying high above the building and disabling the explosive devices that were intended to set off a chain of barrels filled with nitrogen trifluoride. Fire Chiefs at the scene indicated that had the explosions gone off as planned, they would have flattened the hardened building and imposed significant damage the surrounding area. Thomas Alvera, owner and CEO of Alvera Laboratories, expressed gratitude to Team Daedalus. "Me and everyone at Alvera Laboratories owes them an incredible debt, not the least of which is protecting the lives of my employees at great risk to their own lives, but also for doing so in such a way that damage to the facilities can be recovered. Sources at the National Crime Public Information office has indicated that the FBI has been engaged in a long-term investigation into several Eastern European crime syndicates that includes a number of crime-fighting organizations working under the administrative umbrella of the EECTF (Eastern European Criminal Task Force). An investigation that has spanned months has borne its first fruits in the arrests of the Sanjas and Devanskyy criminal families in Memphis and Milwaukee, as well as the arrest of a number of highly-placed members of the Devahkny brahtva in Indianapolis.

Making his presence known with the infamous Simian, the duo wasted no time in allegedly helping Greta Zaikova (aka Vanda) of the Seven Sisters of Anarchy (SSA) break out of hospital confinement following their high-profile bank robbery attempt at Lakeside Bank. That robbery was also foiled by the newly acting Team Daedalus.

Team Daedalus released a formal statement through their AEGIS Liaison that actions by Team Daedalus were intended to prevent the escape or recapture the slippery ladies of the SSA. While CPD has accepted this at its face value, there are rumors that CPD is looking into collusion by Team Daedalus and SSA -- especially considering that in addition to Bilyana Valerieva (aka Vi) escape, also going missing was a little over eleven million in gold bullion and bearer bonds.

She reportedly killed all twenty four members of the terrorist faction, to whom a dozen bombings and kidnappings had been attributed. However, her attack on the building led to the deaths of nearly two dozen citizens in the fires that followed. The Indian Quasar Enforcement division had issued an APB on Geometrika. Today, however, it appears they finally caught up to her.

The Devas, working with Team Daedalus, ambushed her as she was attacking the Scourge Disciples, seen unseen for months but recently appearing in Chicago, extending the spate of Q-Gangs that have decided to operate in the Windy City. She allegedly destroyed the structure of another building using the same modus operandi she used in Ahmedabad, this time killing several members of the Scourge. However, with the help of Team Daedalus, the Devas were able to execute her on the scene and have since brought her reign of unrestrained worldwide vigilantism to an end.

Shiva, of the Devas issued a mysterious release, stating that "they will pursue enemies of the state, no matter what nation or territory they choose to hide in. The United States government and AEGIS has sanctioned our actions as necessary to the continued security of our nations and the peoples of the world. The Devas will protect the people of the world when others either choose or are unable to do so. Thank you." The CPD stated that the attack in Geometrika was an execution and was considered an illegal action by the UNCOS-sanctioned team, but AG Tressa McKintery issued a statement exonerating Team Deva of any charges based on their status as an UNCOS sponsored agency. Adding to the confusion, President Rusty rebuked the action and stated it was tantamount to conduction illegal sanctions on foreign soil -- something for which the United States has been criticized repeatedly in relation to the actions by Team Liberty.

Jonathan Swarm, of the Voice of the Swarm podcast, has gained millions of retweets to his criticism that Dr. Anson's idealized team was just another case of business as usual. Team Daedalus Blunts Attack by the One Mind
(July 2022)

The United States' newest Quasar team, the Chicago-based Team Daedalus, prevented an attack on their home city by the ruthless and evasive Akili Moja, or One Mind. The One Mind operatives were accompanied by a dangerous criminal Quasar named Geometrika, who in coordinating their attacks, attempted to assault citizens in Bucktown with the aid of advanced technologies, including what local AEGIS authorities identified as a recently-stolen prototype of the Quantek XOC Combat Suit. Quantek could not be reached for comment, however, recent reports to UNCOS indicated that three prototype suits had been recent stolen from their facility in New Jersey. The initial reports of the motive behind the attack are still being investigated, with CPD Detective Daniel Adamczyk, of the CPD Quasar Q-Crime Task Force noting that the One Mind was ambushed by Geometrika before Team Daedalus showed up to stop the attacks.

The attack took place at a Martin's Super Grocer on Bennett. The injuries were minor, with the exception of one gunshot victim identified as local businessman named Calvin Enderman, who is in critical condition at Chicago Medical Center. Witnesses describe Enderman standing up to the One Mind terrorists, which resulted in his being shot. Victims in the store describe the heroic actions of Team Daedalus, including a particularly brave intercession by the enigmetic Mindario as he shielded the Simian from a barrage of high calibre weapons fire. Witnesses describe Team Daedalus "swooping in to take bystanders out of harm's way". When asked about why they focused on protecting bystanders, a Angel of Reckoning simply replied, "We're Team Daedalus. It's what we do."

One witness on the outside of the store, Arvin Bailey of Lincolntown had a view of XOC Armored Walker attack. "One minute I'm waiting for my wife to pick up avocadoes, the next minute a giant robot tears its way out of a vegetable delivery truck like it was taking off a bathrobe. The machine burst right threw the east wall, and then the Simian walloped it, knocking it right back out into the parking lot. Kapow! Although, that just seemed to **** it off and it went back in, guns a blazing. I thought everyone in there was done for, and honestly thought I was going to be a wider, but a few seconds later, that Simian guy comes out carrying that robot walker like it was so much leftoever recycling."

Team Daedalus Ambushed on Chicago Morning

Since Team Daedalus had their big debut at the Lakeside Bank robbery, social media was on fire with speculations about different members. Using Using only very limited press release material distributed by the Daedalus Foundation, the public could only speculate about various aspects of this new Chicago superteam. Daedalus Foundation PR head Mandy Lena, a few months ago dubbed as "Mandy Swivel" for her sudden change from a hardline view on Quasars in positions of power, has always been known to leave people with less rather than more when it comes to public statements. And with good reason, it seems.

Since her disastrous episode on the View, the media still has not forgotten and is seeing her as punching bag -- this time taking it out on her most recent PR project, Team Daedalus. In their debut interview on Morning Chicago with Deana Wellner, the team was faced with dismissive questions about their origins and the injuries in the Lakeside robbery. Twitter responses were split evently between anti-Q sentiment who favored Nequality-based attacks on Quasars, the interview did little in the way of answering questions about the team. In fact, not even the entire team was available for the interview.

The interview devolved into an obvious statement with special surprise guests from Quantek, who were showing off their newly-minted OXO Mark IV Combat Suits -- designs that looked remarkably similar to the long-standing Eurymedean suits that have been utilized by Daedalus Foundation operatives in a number of humanitarian missions already. What's next, Quantek, knock-off IBIS transports? Quantek Senior VP of Development Dani Weiss spoke of a recent DOD agreement with the US Government, but then hard questions came from a steely-eyed Kahmaeel, the Angel of Reckoning, who asked about costs and how the suits were to be utilized -- questions for which Ms. Weiss was woefully unprepared to answer directly. And more importantly, where were the powerhouse corporate mercenaries Peacebringer, Sun-boy, Electric Arrow, Moth, and Ethereus?

In the end, Mrs. Wellner wasted a prime opportunity to provide insight into Chicago's newest power team and instead chose to give in to the short-term sensationalism of gotcha journalism in hopes to get a good sound bite. Given her recent contract discussions with NBC on her NewsBeat show, it felt desparate and extraneous. Team Daedalus came across was somber and serious, tolerating the posturing of social media clickbait in order to satisfy public requests for transparency. Dr. Anson tweeted shortly afterward in response to posts about the interview, stating "Team Daedalus is not about media presence and political agendas. Team Daedalus is a new generation of heroes, and a new generation of hope."

In the more unusual side of criminal trends, CPD released a public notice about the robbery of a several produce delivery trucks in the Streetville and Arts District areas. In all four cases, the refrigerated trucks were hijacked or stolen and their produce cargoes were dumped a few blocks away to rot in the summer heat. While the motivation for these crimes has yet to be speculated by CPD, there was rumors that this could be either eco-vandalism or corporate sabotage -- given all the of the trucks belonged to Thomasina Produce distributor. While the incidents caused some minor issues for nearby customers reliant on their goods, Thomasina representative Beatrice Garland issued a public statement that more trucks were being pulled into service and that the interruptions would be a one-time event.

Thomasina Produce indicated that the value of the trucks was negligible apart from the newly installed environmentally efficient refrigeration units along with their new communications and produce tracking systems serving innovative mesh delivery pattern to allow its delivery drivers to meet customer demands for unique and rare produce and grocery items. Ms. Garland indicated however, the systems were secure and could be easily disengaged remotely to avoid compromise of their customer databases. Lakeside Bank Robbery Foiled by New Quasar Team

Lakeside Bank was the site of a Quasar attack involving three major Quasar villains. Blood Mantis, Brutalizer, and Black Thunder all made street-level appearances, apparently drawn by a major heist at Lakeside Bank on Wacker Street. The situation could have been a true bloodbath were it not for the timely intervention of the just-approved Team Daedalus. "Were it not for Team Daedalus' intervention, there would have been unavoidable deaths that could have easily escalated into double figures." CPD Detective Daniel Adamczyk noted in the cleanup and investigation at the site of the bank. "I don't hold much with Quasars or how they get things done, but people owe their lives to the Team's efforts."

The battle led to the recovery of 112 million in gold bullion being deposited at the Lakeside's newly designed Argentium design vault. Witnesses describe the efforts of Team Daedalus as being bold and decisive, with Shadowstrike going solo to save a number of staff and customers in the bank facing hardened criminals armed with automatic weapons. In the meantime, the rest of the team engaged with Brutalizer, Blood Mantis, and Black Thunder simultaneously, stopping Blood Mantis and Black Thunder after they both ruthlessly attacked an innocent bystanders.

While Team Daedalus suffered injuries in the fight, they quickly worked with local police to hand over Brutalizer and Blood Mantis and the team even went in pursuit of Black Thunder, who fled the scene and evaded capture. Dr. Anson appeared with the team as they returned from the pursuit, announcing the newly minted approval for Team Daedalus to operate with AEGIS backing. Sub-Commander Deirdre Orokibo confirmed the team's AEGIS sanction to operate under AEGIS security dispensation.

While designated a Gamma-level team, it is not difficult to assume that Team Daedalus is performing well above their designation. While Team New York, Team LA, and Team Lone Star have been designated protectors of regions in the US, it is about time that the Midwest got a team of its own, and based in the Midwest's major metropolis of Chicago is just a bonus. Team Daedalus came out of the shoot fast and furious, and it would not surprise me to see some of their members putting in an appearance in the 2022 Q-Games coming up in July. Dr. Anson, rennaisance genius, seems to have once again orchestrated his newest project to take center stage.

Pilot Breaks Silence Renouncing the Co-Pilots

Pilot has officially divested himself from any consensus or approval with the terrorist organizations known as The Co-Pilots. The Co-Pilots became a popular movement shortly after Pilot was convicted in the extra-national murder of Brightstar as Team Liberty was attempting to apprehend him. In the first recorded Quasar battle, Pilot showed a lack of restraint and brutally murdered Brightstar, older sister to Neostar, co-leader of the pre-eminent Team Liberty.

Speaking from his containment facilities in the Tower, Pilot stated, "The actions of the organization known as the Co-Pilots is not something in endorse, condone, or accept in any way, shape, or form. I encourage this organization, if they have any regard for my legacy or my intentions, to cease all terrorist and criminal activities. Thank you." The statement comes as the first publicly spoken statement by the ex-hero since his final statement following his conviction en absentia following his trial at the Hague.

The Co-Pilots have been sought in connection with a dozen acts of vandalism and assaults on law enforcement over the period of a dozen years. Recently, the Co-Pilots were implicated in a terrorist attack on a government facility in Tennessee, where four law enforcement officers suffered greivous injury.

Roco Brio Owner Nominated for James Beard Award

Roco Brio, a Catalan cuisine eatery near the Arts District, has gained distinction for its owner chef David Bright in recognition as a rare first-year restaurant mention for the James Beard Award. While still a dark horse against long-standing powerhouses such as Obelix, Neng Jr's, and Nolia Kitchen, the nod is an acknowledgment for what may be the best Catalan cuisine not only in the city, but in the Midwest.

While the James Beard Award is a major distinction in the metropolis, it takes little projection to note that young chef David Bright is an upcoming star whose imagination and vision are paired with uncanny technique and quality. While the popularity of Catalan cuisine sets it apart from other eateries, it is still in its infancy and Bright's slavish devotion to the traditions of Catalan cuisine are likely trying to fit into your high school prom dress -- it's not meant to be worn every day. We are, however, rooting for young talent like this. While it is likely that it will require a new incarnation before Bright finds his true vision and his own unique voice, it will likely be a journey well worth watching.

District Court Orders FEMA Treat Giant Ape as Human

In a political blow to Nancy Pelosi, long-term anti-Q spokesperson, the US District court issued a vague, but specific ruling that the Simian, of the Simian Outburst in mid-November, to retain "all previously accepted status" as a human, prior to any Q-related activities. Pelosi has been pressuring AEGIS to remand the Simian to the Tower in an effort to protect public interests.

'Avenging Angel' Tracked as Vigilante by CPD

The Avenging Angel, as he (or them) has been dubbed by the media, has been officially linked as a Quasar vigilante in a number of criminal activities relating to drug and organized crime in the Greater Chicago area. While the Avenging Angel has not killed anyone, he is wanted as a person of interest in several aggravated assaults and thefts. Surprising, the Avenging Angel was the subject of the hit song "Bring Me Justice" by Frankie Falsetto released on Apple iTunes earlier this week and already hitting ten million purchases in the US alone.

Anson Subpoena'd as Witness by UNCOS
(June 2022)

Dr. Stephen Anson was issued a subpoena to appear as a witness in UNCOS upcoming trial regarding alleged oversights that led to the Willis Tower Incident. Dr. Anson provided no comments, however, Ferrotech and the Daedalus Foundation issued a joint statement that "Dr. Stephen Anson will cooperate with UNCOS and AEGIS in every way legally and ethically possible." The statement issued immediate criticism from UNCOS Security members Turkey, Russia, and China, who accused both UNCOS and AEGIS of 'playing favorites'.

Team Liberty Foils Attack on Willis Tower
(October 2021)

An attack by a previously unnamed Quasar by the name of Lunotar has been thwarted by Team Liberty. Lunotar displayed remarkable power levels as she thwarted police and event rapid response military assault teams as she held sixteen people, visitors to the Willis Tower Observation Deck, hostage while she delivered a sprawling verbal manifesto to her hostages. AX physically attacked her and after facing several devastating attacks, was forced to use lethal force. Fortunately, the hostages escaped with non-fatal injuries.

Afterward, AX and Shimmer were quoted as saying, "Team Liberty has once against stood against terrorism. Remember, with Team Liberty on her side, America can stand tall." Shimmer provided additional color when asked about Lunotar's death, stating "We gave her every chance to stand down. Against Team Liberty, you can either stand down or get put down. It's was all on her, chica."

Ferrotech Delays Release of T-29A

Ferrotech has pushed back manufacturing release of its new T-29A Q-Pulse engine, widely anticipated to be a remarkable new innovation in hyper-efficient industrial power plants. Ferrotech has mentioned issues relating to manufacturing supply and issues in its primary assembly site outside of Normal, Illinois. The company's stock took a dip with this announcement, dropping ten points but recovering quickly in the following days.
