During Operation Enduring Freedom, Decimus was deployed to some of the most volatile regions, where his expertise in unconventional warfare was invaluable. His unit's mission was critical, and they operated deep behind enemy lines. During one particularly harrowing mission, Decimus was captured by insurgents. Despite enduring brutal conditions and relentless interrogation, he never wavered in his resolve. However, during his captivity, he lost his left hand, a traumatic injury that left both physical and emotional scars. His rescue came in the form of Brutus and his unit of elite U.S. soldiers. They executed a daring operation to extract Decimus and his comrades from enemy territory. Grateful for his life but changed forever by his experiences, Decimus returned home. The advanced prosthetic not only restored his physical abilities but also enhanced them, making him a formidable asset to the team. Since then, Decimus has been unwaveringly loyal to Brutus, viewing him as both a savior and a mentor.
