| ORACLE Notations for Daedalus Authorized Personnel Only: Smash and Grab were a couple long before they volunteered for an experimental medical procedures with Omnatech. Simone came from a background of criminal family and was known for her failed criminal schemes. After a couple of short bouts in Mid-State Correctional Facility in New York, she decided to go straight. She worked as a fitness instructor and got into physical fitness and martial arts. She met Henry in Atlantic City and they fell immediately in love. As a married couple, they were a disaster. They were drowning in debt created by Simone's compulsion to spend, their marriage quickly turned poorly. Henry grew frustrated and their marriage was on the rocks. Simone suggested they undergo an experimental Q-tech implementation with a fertility treatment product, because a child was how she believed they would save their marriage. To qualify for the program, they could not be related or living in the same household, but they lied on the application and were both selected for Q-tech's experimental process. The Q-tech implantation process was successful, but not in the expected way. When Henry discovered Simone stole a prototype Q-tech home backup power generator and was planning to sell it to contacts she had through her family, he was furious. When they fought, he damaged the device and he induced an overload in it. The resultant discharge of energy should have killed them, but instead it sent the couple into paroxysm and hyperexpression. When they discovered their new powers, they immediately abandoned their middle class struggles and embarked on a life of crime. Since then, they have gained a reputation as the infamous Smash and Grab. Smash, now physically empowered, reverted to his standard jock/frat boy personality he had in college. Grab fell for his reverted form and has taken her resisted persona as a mafia daughter and gangster moll. | |
