Team Daedalus Attends the 2022 Q-Games (S1E04: Q Games)
Team Daedalus is invited to the Q Games, not only as participants and sponsors of the newly rebranded Power FlaQes Breakfast Products, but also to investigate shady events in the biggest Q-culture event of the last two years. Team Daedalus goes undercover in the games, discovering that something is going on after the untimely death of Jalen Dukes, when his superpowers go awry and suddenly send him into a hyperexpressive paroxysm. The team acquits themselves well in the battle, but then they discover that there is an attack planned by Gothmog, who is working with the Copilots to use Genie Apocalypse's abilities to overload a Quasar's powers. They stop Genie Apocalypse before she can send the entire arena into a paroxysm, but Gothmog's attack exacts a heavy toll from Quasars in attendence, who make valiant sacrifices to save people on the field. Sub-Commander Orokibo threatens to use a technology that would destroy the Quasar's powers, but the team averts that and goes to fight Gothmog. After a short, but brutal fight, they defeat him and all that remains of him is an incinerated homeless man identified as a kidnapping victim from Brazil. While over 200 Quasars of various power levels died, the civilian deaths were kept to under three hundred. Team Daedalus is hailed as the new power team in the United States. Even more so, people look to them after Team Liberty, Team Big Apple, Team LA, and the Lonestars all suffer devastating losses.
