Team Daedalus vs. Reciprocity and the Regeri (Vignette)
The heroes are in the base when they receive a visit from FEMA Director Jordan Willoughby, who has with him local directory of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with USDA inspectors, demands to inspect Simian's "enclosures" to make sure that he is being treated humanely and properly handled as a dangerous person with animal needs. After a fruitless inspection, the team is approached by Detective Bronson, who invites them to a local bar to get their interest in a series of crimes related to individuals willingly give away their assets after meeting a mysterious individual.
After some investigation, they discover the hand of the Ascendancy involved with someone selling Q-level tech using uniquely programmed "Q-echo" chips were are designed to replicate the Q-fields of specific powers. Tracking down reports of the missing Mind Melter from nearby Wisconsin, they track the Ascendancy to the Crestland Amusement park, an abandoned park on the lakefront area. After infiltrating the underground section, they encounter the dangerous Reciprocity, who has the power to steal other Quasar powers. Additionally, she reveals a personal relationship with Kah'maeel and indicates she was there on the day of the Willis Tower Incident.
The team defeated the Regeri and rescued Mind Melter and Dr. Sasha Baltivo, both kept captive. Reciprocity was stealing Mind Melter's powers and then imprinting them on circuit devices that contained the new "Q-echo" chips, selling them on the streets for $500,000 a piece to generate cash for upcoming operations. Reciprocity escaped, along with several of the Regeri, when they self-destructed the facility and damaged several rides in the dilapidated amusement park.
